About the Authors
Personal Profile
Stephanie Johnson is a mother, creator, and future adolescent therapist who believes Christmas should be centered around family, love, and meaningful traditions.
Inspired by her daughter’s wonder and curiosity, Stephanie and her Co-Founder, Bruno DiBiasio, created Santa’s Star to help families slow down, reconnect, and build traditions that feel magical and meaningful. Her passion for supporting young people and strengthening family bonds shines through every page she writes and every star that glows.
Stephanie is currently pursuing her degree to become an adolescent therapist, driven by a lifelong commitment to helping youth feel seen, supported, and understood. Through Santa’s Star, she hopes to bring warmth, connection, and a sense of wonder to families everywhere.
Our
Story
Every tradition begins with a moment — a quiet spark that becomes something meaningful. For Santa’s Star, that moment started inside a car on our way home. My Co-founder/husband Bruno started talking about an idea he had for quite some time. He started explaining that he wanted to create a Christmas product that is an LED-lit Star that would corelate with a children's book.
We had no name, no story but then we came up with the name Santa's Star, we began writing the story and we just kept pushing forward.
“Why do the stars shine brighter at Christmas?”
My daughter’s words carried a kind of innocence and wonder that instantly reminded me of the magic I felt as a child. But the holidays also held deep emotional weight. When I was young, my mother passed away just days before Christmas, leaving a lasting imprint on how she experienced the season.
Over time, Christmas became more than decorated trees and wrapped presents. It became a time to honor, love, hold close the people who matter most, and create moments that last.
The other Co-founder Bruno also dedicates this book to his father who passed away and loved Christmas. Each year Bruno's father would set up his nativity set that he built, and the house was always full of holiday cheer.
As both authors raise their daughters, the main goal is to build traditions rooted in meaning — something that brings comfort, connection, and joy.
Something that will help families pause and hold onto the magic that often slips away too quickly. And so, Santa’s Star was born.
